Memorial Day Weekend

Friday, 5/22- At work, we had Splash Day! It's our school's version of Field Day! We rent tons of inflatable water slides (I think we had about 10) and water balloon relay races and the kids have a ton of fun! In the afternoon, we had the "dry" activities, which included the anticipated Tug-of-War contest against the other 3rd grade classes and the parachute. It was very hot out there, but the kids had a great time as always! I didn't take any pics, but I am stealing some from other people....these are not my students...these are 1st graders!

These are not my students, but I must note that our class came in 2nd place in the Tug-of-War contest! I was not able to participate due to my pregnancy, but I had another adult fill in for me with my class.

After work, a bunch of teachers went to a much-needed Happy Hour at Guadalahara. Fun! Afterwards, Mike and I came home, and he put the cradle together. My cousin Jamie let us borrow her daughter Landry's cradle to put in our bedroom. It's beautiful! Thanks Jamie!

Saturday 5/23- Adam's Memorial Day party- Adam had a ton of people over on Saturday. He rented a huge inflatable Slip-n-Slide, and there was a ton of food on the grill. Unlucky for him, it poured all evening...but that didn't stop everyone from doing the slip-n-slide in the rain! I was not feeling well so I left early, and left Mike there to hang out. I think they had a good time eating a ton of food, playing in the rain and drinking lots of Mexican beer!
