Moms, Dad and Crib Bedding!

Sunday 5/24- We ran errands for most of the day. My mom and dad had been in Fredericksburg/Gruene for the weekend, so they stopped by our house on Sunday afternoon. Mike's mom Betty is also in town to watch our nieces for a week, so she came over too! Betty is making Emerson's crib bedding, so I was discussing what I wanted with her. Mom, Betty and I also picked out some paint colors, b/c Mike and I need to begin painting that room! The new nursery furniture is just hanging out in the garage, waiting for that nursery to get painted. We have 2 chair rails in that bedroom, so we are painting the room 3 different colors. On top, we will probably go with a very light green-"Springtime", in the middle- "Java" (chocolate brown) and on the bottom-"Dishy Coral"- a coral color.

Here's kinda our plan for the bedding. I wanted the colors to be chocolate brown, aqua, coral, and lime/pistachio green....there is not any bedding out there in those colors, so it works out that my mother-in-law is very talented at sewing! Here are some of the fabrics I like so far. The multi-colored stripes and multi-paisley fabrics will definitely be incorporated....I am still looking for a soft minky dots plush fabric and also a fabric with polka dots in aqua, lime green, coral and brown.
The end result is going to look something like one of these, with the fabrics above instead!
